Handmade Help from the Heart

The outpouring of love and generosity from the Etsy community in the wake of the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti has been incredible. There are the Etsy collectives Hearts For Haiti and the smaller Craft Hope for Haiti where thousands of items have been donated and all proceeds will be given to DoctorsWithoutBorders. Among the pages and pages of items listed on Etsy, we have found several pieces (that we love) that have been created with Haiti in mind. 100% of proceeds from these items will be donated to organizations that each seller has chosen.

"Our Hearts Are With You, Haiti" Poster

To help with the relief efforts in Haiti, jack + jenn partnered with MADRE to release a poster, in which 100% of proceeds will be donated. We are excited about the opportunity to join forces with such a terrific organization.

"The worst earthquake in 200 years struck Haiti on January 12, causing catastrophic destruction in the hemisphere's poorest country. MADRE is working with our partner in Haiti, Zanmi Lasante, to bring humanitarian aid overland into the country." January Updates!

It has been awhile since we last blogged, but we have been so busy getting ready for a few exciting launches. Our Valentine's Day note cards will be up on Etsy later today; they are a lot of fun and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Here is a sneak peak from our photo shoot:


Additionally, jack + jenn has undertaken an endeavor that is both deeply rooted in the school of responsible design and close to our hearts. To contribute to relief efforts following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, we have partnered with MADRE, an international human rights organization for women, to design a poster. All proceeds will be donated to MADRE. We plan to have this poster available as soon as possible.
